PRF THERAPY (PLATELET- RICH FIBRIN)

PRF THERAPY (PLATELET- RICH FIBRIN)
USING PLATELET-RICH FIBRIN (PRF), SOME OF THE PROMINENT SIGNS OF AGING, SUCH AS SAGGING SKIN, FINE LINES AND WRINKLES AND EVEN UNDER EYE BAGS AND CIRCLES, CAN BE GREATLY DIMINISHED OR REVERSED.

WHAT IS PRF THERAPY?

PRF (platelet-rich firbin) therapy is a minimally invasive rejuvenation treatment using factors in your own blood to boost collagen production and return skin to a more youthful looking appearance. Over the years, it has been used in other areas of medicine, such as orthopedics, as a healing treatment for injuries. As such, cosmetic dermatologists and surgeons have discovered the results from using it as a skin rejuvenation treatment. It has the unique ability to facilitate collagen production and energize skin tissue to smooth out wrinkles, even skin tone and create a healthy complexion. PRF therapy is often used in conjunction with other treatments, such as microneedling, to maximize the results of skin rejuvenation treatments.

BENEFITS OF PRF THERAPY

For years, platelet-rich fibrin has been an integral part in treating wounds and injuries to help speed the healing process. As a cosmetic skin rejuvenation treatment, it offers the following benefits:

Who is an Ideal Candidate for PRF Therapy?

If you have noticeable fine lines and wrinkles as well as skin with little to no elasticity and other skin imperfections, you may be a candidate for PRF therapy. Since it uses your own blood, it is safe with no risk of allergic or negative reaction.

What Do I Do to Prepare for My PRF Therapy?

Much of the preparation happens immediately before the procedure. We do highly recommend that you stop smoking if you do, a couple of weeks prior to the treatment, as well as stop taking any blood-thinning medications or supplements.

What Should I Expect During My PRF Therapy?

The first step in PRF therapy treatments involves drawing a small amount of blood from your arm to a tube. Once this is complete, the blood is spun through a centrifuge to separate stem cells and platelets from the rest of the blood. The result is protein-rich plasma, which is then prepared for injection into the targeted areas with skin imperfections.

There is little to no pain or discomfort in this procedure; however, if necessary, a numbing cream can be applied to the areas receiving injections.

How Long Does It Take to Complete My PRF Therapy?

The entire process is quick taking no more than hour to complete. If PRF therapy is combined with other treatments such as microneedling, it may take more time.

What to Expect After PRF Therapy

Immediately following PRF therapy, there is typically some redness and swelling at the injection sites for the first few days, which quickly resolves itself. Several treatments are typically recommended with four to eight weeks between each treatment to allow for healing.

When Will I See the Results?

Since PRF therapy works with your body to boost collagen injections, it takes a few weeks for the results to reveal themselves. Once complete, the results last for about a year.

How Much Does PRF Therapy Cost?

Platelet-rich fibrin therapy varies in cost depending on the areas to be treated, how many injections are needed, and whether it is combined with other treatments. During your consultation, we can go over the costs with you in addition to our payment and financing options through CareCredit®.

Starts at: $500
