Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is an advanced non-surgical skin rejuvenation technique that can reduce signs of age and minimize the appearance of numerous skin conditions. At Francine Queen of Threads, we offer the state-of-the-art COSMOPen™ microneedling treatment, which can treat deeper layers of skin while yielding a more rapid recovery and beautiful results. With microneedling treatment, you can achieve tighter, firmer, smoother-looking skin without the need for invasive surgery.

The COSMOPen™ microneedling treatment can be performed on patients of all skin types. This procedure can successfully improve the appearance of:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne scars and other types of mild scarring
  • Pigmentation
  • Sun damage
  • Stretch marks

Our practitioner will meet with you for an initial consultation to talk about your cosmetic enhancement goals. During this meeting, he/she will answer all your questions and help you determine if microneedling treatment is right for your needs.

The COSMOPen™ microneedling procedure involves the use of a small device about the size of a pen. The device is guided over the skin, making tiny punctures to create micro-channels, which can ultimately stimulate collagen production and new tissue to help the skin reveal a healthier, more youthful appearance. A topical anesthetic can be applied in the treatment area to minimize discomfort.

Patients may experience some redness in the treated areas for up to two days after the procedure. Depending on the extent of skin damage or the depth of wrinkles, it may take five to eight microneedling treatments, staged over a period of weeks, for the best results. Most patients begin seeing the effects after two treatments.
